Name meaning : After the Parish it is sited in, originally based on a town in Sussex (England) called Boxhill.
Notes : Down platform was 75.4 metres long. 23/5/1913 - crossing loop and siding added. Station demolished 1977.

January 1990, and 44232 is hauling a two-car load near Bexhill on the Murwillumbah branch. I'm not sure when van traffic on the branch finished but it mustn't have been too long after this photo was taken. I'd caught the Pacific Coast Motorail to Murwillumbah (with car) and spent a few days in the area getting photos of the Motorail and Brisbane Limited before their demise the following month. After this North Coast adventure, I drove on to Tamworth for the country music festival, thereby mixing a few hobbies into one holiday!
