Notes : Barwick's Siding was a sawmill located at the highest point of the then Main Line. The Backbone Deviation cut through this site when built and obliterated it.

Jenny Smith:

Occurred on Friday 28-7-1916 when the points of Barwick's Siding were left open after a ganger pushed a trolley into the siding. Ab4 was hauling the Hobart to Launceston Express but managed to slow somewhat before the impact. As the ground was soft, damage was generally light and there were no significant injuries. A replacement engine was summoned from Parattah which took the delayed express on to Launceston.
