Name meaning : Named for a local Aboriginal tribe and probably a corruption of "clean hill"
Notes : opened with a 394.7 metre central interlocked crossing loop. The platform was 121.9 metres in length with an A4 standard building with a store, waiting rooms, ticket office etc. In 1945 the station was changed to an island platform and the length increased to 215 metres, at this time the current brick station was built.
