Name meaning : n/a
Notes : Apparently was 66 chains in length. Opened in 1954, closed in 1965. There was an Intermediate Electric Staff instrument there, meaning a train could be placed in the siding and locked away to allow other trains to run through the section. Served the Walka power station.

the sorts of loads that were envisaged going into the site would have meant the loco would have been there for, potentially, many hours. Without the intermediate staff facility, the whole North Coast line would have been blocked during any loco presence

We have walked most of the siding, but its very difficult towards the junction with the North Coast line as the undergrowth is very dense. There are still remains of the tracks in the Walka Water Works car park.
