Name meaning :  Aboriginal word meaning "breast milk"
Notes : A 1656 metre up side crossing loop (opened in July 2007 from converting the main line to a loop and adding a new main line on the western side) and a 626 metre ballast siding are in use at the location. The Down side platform was 45.41 metres in length and had a standard B1 type waiting shed. The station opened as part of the Kyogle branch. 19.7.1978 - station removed.

Location of the one-time station at Namoona. The station  opened in 1910 and closed in 1969 and is now the site of a  ballast siding. In 1927 it was an important staging ground for the Kyogle to Brisbane connection and an extensive railway camp was built at the location.
