Name meaning : Named after a town 32km to the west now called Boorganna.
Notes : Opened as a 432 metre interlocked crossing loop. A residence was provided opposite the signal box and a small 4.87m employee platform was supplied (this was erected in 1945). In 2009 the loop was extended to 1598 metres.

Remember this box, Roger Goodwin, only seen sunshine from 10. Till 1400 each day 🤣 and the district stick, nth end, was a challenge 🤣🤣🤣

Worked in this box on relief, my mate Oz lived in the house just near the signal box and worked there also.

Big Graham ? lived there also. And I remember Graham Delaforce working there at some stage. Wayne Ostler lived there too. A lot of those distant signals had a tendency to malfunction. Forever swinging on those signal arms. 😂👍

I was told about an incident that occurred on the Wauchope/Kendall section in the trike days. The word came through to Wauchope station there were cattle on the line in the Kerewong (Bago) area. One of the blokes at Wauchope hopped on a trike, against the advise of another employee as he was warned the south bound Brisbane Limited was due, and headed for Kendall. The Wauchope station master called ahead to Kendall to inform them of the fool hardy mission. Leon Kennedy was the Kendall station master. He went down to the points at the northern end of the yard into the passing loop and was ready to flick them over. The trike came around the corner and over the bridge and onto the level crossing. At this point Leon saw the Brisbane Limited coming around the corner and over the viaduct. The points were switched into the passing loop where the trike was sent in. Immediately the points were switched back to the main line the Up Brisbane limited went straight through. He operator was lucky to survive that day.
