Name meaning : After the land grant of the Martin family, these lands lay to the north and north east of the station
Notes : Station site moved 36.8 metres from original site. Original Down side platform was 76.1 metres, the platform was shorterned after 2003 but the signal box was retained as a shelter. Original facilities included a B1 waiting shed and Out Of room, a C1 closet and urinal was at ground level. A 90kl single tier tank fed by a bore existed at the site. In 1927 the goods siding was extended. Water facilities closed on 31/7/1970 with the end of steam on the North Coast.

Martins Creek - Not that long ago this was an every day scene. The station is still complete as the afternoon Dungog motor wanders in, with 729 and 629 doing the job at 2.11 pm. Now of course not only has the motor well and truly gone, the station building itself has been erased & replaced. 4 Dec 2006. (Bundy Colonel)
