Type : Station
Line : Apsley Branch
Distance from Brighton Junction : 33.856km
Opened : 22 April 1891
Closed : 29 September 1947
Status : Closed
Name meaning : After the location (Melton Mowbray)
Notes : The location had a timber station similar to that at Pontville located on the Up side; this was later replaced by a simple shelter.
Facilities included a Down side loop siding with a 30' by 20' corrugated iron goods shed with a timber platform and loading ramp.  A short spur led to stockyard with a loading ramp and cattle and sheep pens. Housing for railway employees existed on the site.
