Name meaning : Aboriginal word for "black snake".
Notes : A crossing loop once existed at the site. Station was closed when a deviation was constructed. The original station was demolished and moved (a larger station being constructed) in 1916. The site had two cottages, a goods shed and several small sheds as well as a cattle yard. Original goods loop was 125' in length.
